..and the second person, who says that people who identify with animesexual make them feel weird, said this...
"I never said that I didn't know what animesexual meant. Did you... Actually read my replies? I said I was neurodivergent and asexual, so I might not fully understand it. Not that I don't know what it means. I'm just saying it feels fake to me. Anime isn't in our DNA. Literally, I'm not being homophobic here. There's no genetic reason to be exclusively attracted to anime characters. I understand people who might be attracted to anime characters, sure, but being exclusively attracted to anime characters just feels so fake. I want to believe everybody and be nice to people who identify as something others don't believe in, but animesexuality is, and probably always will, make the community generally look stupid. I hate to say it, but I really don't think it's real.
Let me explain this in my own way:
Neopronouns exist. And I'm happy they do. But as long as people are using them in joking or condescending ways towards the neopronouns community, neopronouns will always be viewed as a joke to people outside of the trans and nonbinary community. Like how blm/blmself became a huge deal. It makes people who use neopronouns look stupid to people who don't use them.
Take that logic and apply it to animesexual. It makes people from outside of the community look down on lgbtq+ people because of this sexuality. It makes people who use microlabels look dumb, and same to everybody in the community. And there's a lot of people who use this to make fun of lgbtq+ people, there always will be if we keep saying that it is.
Again, I've NEVER seen an animesexual that isn't just making fun of the community. Every single one I've seen is a homophobe making fun of it. If we keep saying that animesexuality is real, we'll just continue having homophobes make fun of the community for the rest of time.
If someone is going to debunk me, I want it to be an actual animesexual. Not some SJW trying to get extra inclusivity points."
...they said this to amnisty, who was defending animesexual...so i swapped out...and said this...
"A. Hi, I'm Wendy. I'm part of this system. I am animesexual.
B. A lot of things aren't in our DNA. Like a lot of gender experiences/xenigenders. Someone's gender may change/feel different due to society. Same goes for sexualities. Not all sexualities are in our DNA. not all sexualities are even scientifically backed up.
C. I am animesexual, and I know I am not attracted to real people. I'm not. I'm only attracted to anime characters and art. (I'm also artsexual). I'm not mocking the community by existing.
D. Amnisty was not saying that for inclusivity points. They were saying that because they know me (who is animesexual) and if you scroll down there are tons of people who talk about how this is their identity in a serious manner, and even feel ashamed for it.
E. I understand you're neurodivergent. We are too.
F. You saying that people will not accept us because of animesexual and that it makes the community look stupid is insensitive. The community mocks people no matter how 'realistic' their identity seems. Let people actually express themselves. Telling people like me that I am the reason people hate the community makes me hate myself and my identity.
G. Finally, you need to realize a lot of identities aren't in our DNA. They are discovered from things the world has formed. Like my system partner adora. She is objectum. A lot of the objects she is attracted to wouldn't exist if society didn't form them. Society influences identity and sexuality for some people. Not all people, but for some. I'm not saying sexuality is a choice. However I am saying that sexuality can be affected by what's around someone for some people."
...but...it still hurts..i try to act proffesional...but im...im a little...not too little...but...a little.....
