I personally don't think it should matter how it makes us look. Invalidating someone else because it might make you feel less valid even though in truth they did nothing to undermine your validity feels kinda wrong. I know where you were going with this, and I agree that a lot of microlables are being used as a joke and to poke fun at our community, and I really don't like transphobes like that, or even binary trans people using transmedicalism to hate on xenogenders and enby people, but looking at the microlables used by transphobes just as jokes shouldn't extend to the people who actually identify with those microlables. Many people use microlables as jokes, but many people don't, and the people that don't are even more harmed by the people that do but they still use their microlables because it's what feels best to them, so yes, I agree that there are a lot of microlables that may seem ridiculous, but if people genuinely identify best with those microlables then that's just them doing what's best for them. The people making jokes about us, the people spreading misinformation and being bullies, they're the ones that make our community look bad, not the people just genuinely searching for a label to fit themselves.
Yeah, because reclaiming can help make one thing good, but there is going to be things that’s unreclaimable (aka, pedo and zoo and incest,virus sexual and rabio sexual, we cant really change it plus, no matter how you look it, it’s a label that is dangerous from the inside out)
But Animesexual is reclaimable, swagsexual was also reclaimed and such. Just draw the line from troll labels to outright dangerous ones.
How are we on the road to accepting pedos/zoophiles/etc?
I think a lot of people misunderstand aspec people, so if you're frustrated about this or it's upsetting or even triggering, that's valid, but I personally think it would be better to self-assess before potentially invalidating someone. I'm not angry with you at all, I'm sorry for whatever happened that caused you to be so upset by this, I just think this discourse is definitely worth having. @Transgender Cat made some good points as well, I think we all just need to learn how to be accepting of things that aren't harming us even if we don't understand, after all, that is the premise of our community. I hope you're feeling more relaxed now.
@Rainbowraven96 YES
THANK YOU!! People who use microlabels don’t hurt anyone! People who ACTUALLY hurt the community is LGBTphobes!
And yes, I have a friend who now identify a as panthagender, kits absolutely did not like identifying as catgender, kit always said caterer just felt to small and nimble, kit can’t really connect with that gender with kitselves. So I coined panthagender and the felinus system as well as Envy and kits are happier than ever. That’s why I don’t believe these microlabels hurt anyone, you may not get it, but that doesn’t mean it hurts anyone instantly.
Off topic but
SOMEONE IS USING A TERM I COINED. (Panthagender) AHH :D
Didn’t we explicitly state that we do not accept pedophiles/Zoophilia/etc
Lmao so snowy can be renairysexual and be valid?
Snowy can have an attraction to the musical artist renairy?
When i read this post it truly hurt me .... Like i cannot express the emotion im feeling rn, i feel invalidated, and feel like me using a microlabel isnt valid-
I'm glad kits are happier with kitselves now! And yes I agree, as long as people are finding themselves authentically without actually hurting and mocking anyone else, then it's our job to put aside our own personal interpretation of their identity and respect them
What do you think?
