As im editing pages, i will be deleting not only hate comments, but any comments relating to violence or that are off topic.
The reason i am saying this is because many people leave comments such as "i'd drop kick _" and although these are usually referring to exclusionists, violence should not be promoted in the comments of articles, as it can trigger, scare, or even put a bad impression of us onto people.
Please, if you have a comment, keep it on topic. this could be a comment about the term, the terms flag, issues with the terms information, or a pun/respectful joke that relates to the term.
If you become friends with someone in the comments, please move to their message wall if you'd like to start an off-topic conversation. it avoids a needless amount of comments clogging up and pushing back comments asking for advice or information.
I am doing this in order to make the community a safer place as well as to better clear up pages and follow guidelines. These are the guidelines im using as context.
"Do not spam in the comments. Spamming is in this context defined making multiple comments that repeat the same statement with little to no variations, or repeat the same sentiment, particularly (but not exclusively) when it is not relevant to the article or productive to the conversation. It doesn't matter what you are saying. This includes spamming across multiple pages."
"Anything that directly insults or threatens another user can result in an ban anywhere from three months to indefinitely, depending on the severity. This includes but is not limited to intentional misgendering, unwanted sexual or romantic advances, or continuing to do something that makes another user uncomfortable when you have been told to stop."
"Discussion of NSFW topics is allowed as long as it is relevant to the article, a genuine question, or a genuine response to a question and the main purpose is educational. Do not post NSFW text just for the sake of being NSFW."
"Do not try to use loop holes. Use common sense and basic respect. Even if there isn't an explicit rule against something act within the spirit of these guidelines."
