Stop saying "he was born female" when referring to trans men, or "she was born male" when referring to trans women, or "they were born [insert sex]" when referring to nonbinary people.
Nonbinary people weren't "born female or male", they've always been nonbinary.
You just thought they were whatever [insert sex], because that's what their sex was.
Gender doesn't equal sex!
And both of those are social constructs!
A person can change labels to find one that fits, but that doesn't mean they started as a girl and then became nonbinary. I am nonbinary. I might have thought I was a girl at one point because i didn't know what nonbinary was, but that doesn't mean that i wasn't nonbinary back then.
Finding labels that work is a process, but that doesn't mean i just magically turned nonbinary overnight once i found the label
