So my mum's friend, who we've gone on holiday so she can see her, is also my godmother (is this still a thing? idk). And one of the first things she did when she saw me was ask my pronouns. And I felt so good.
This person has known me since I was a baby and could've easily assumed, but instead she asked. I said they/them as I do use them (just not currently) and I didn't want to talk about neos as I'm not sure she knows of them (explaining would've been hard in the situation). But she's just been using they/them and I feel so happy.
[Also she them gave me 3 books on Greek myths (one which includes a character with my name - Maia) which I love, so that was great as well.]
But just, I feel so validated (she's old enough that she wouldn't have been taught to care, yet she still went out of her way to). So yea. Yngfnkdfjyfnmlm
