(Before reading this post you should probably read this post so it makes sense)
We went out to eat with our mother, brother and sister at Cracker Barrel. I decided to discuss an episode on Chicago Med with her and about systems and DID. She said she thinks it’s really sad and these “poor people” are mentally unwell and disabled. And that DID is dangerous.
She asked us if we thought we had, and ofc we gonna say no! We used our acting skills and just used the excuse of being a naturally curious person (which most of us are ) We’re not 100% sure she bought entirely, but she seemed undisturbed by it for the rest of dinner.
Like, we all love being apart of a system. It gives us people to talk to and our headspace is a sort of space we can retreat into when reality gets too chaotic. We’ve always worried if we told them we were a system, they’d try make us singular and “fix us.”
