I’m gonna note something, be aware that that I didn’t really see the replies and only the OG post. I’ve see. A lot of people from the LGBTA wiki do some bootlicking to the new wiki, and I want to talk about that.
Just because fandom was scummy and full of shit DOESNT mean that people should dismiss what the new wiki is doing.
The new wiki has been intersexist, anti xenogender, and anti native, aka gatekeeping them from editing their pages and removing harmful misinformation and comparisons, for intersex slur dropping and excluding hormonally intersex, for xenogenders it’s basically put a psychology pape, then after it that had nothing to do with the paper say “xenic people are just confused children” and demean a legit experience and anti native by putting up non native sources and telling natives their word doesn’t matter. These are AWFUL situations, and I cannot emphasize how frustrating it is to see “Awww u don’t deserve hate!! Praise be to the mods you are so cool and amazing oh wow praise be!!!!” When ti comes to that.
Is putting the blame that was done by FANDOM bad? Yeah
Is giving them kisses on the forehead and telling them they are great when they are actively being bigots to a lot of queer minorities a good thing? Hell no
You don’t have to blame them for the merge to be able to criticize them, and I’m tired of people indulging and enabling their behaviors and their bigoted “you must need sources to = valid = visibility”, it doesn’t help and I seriously am tired of people doing this because it’s enabling horrid behaviors that could easily get worse, which it has, y’know, I want to remove them conflating flux identities with anro but I have to play around their own rules just so I can Atleast keep the FYI that flux and abro identities are separate, and people continue to indulge them with this making it even harder my voice as a queer person to be heard.
